Every year during New Years, my family and I play what is known as “The Lottery”, otherwise known as the Asian bingo. Each bingo card is worth a dollar. The winner receives the pot. In the end, my aunt who’s hosting the game, will give her li xi in the pot. (No one knows how much is in each envelope, but it’s always more than the original pot!) There are a total of three envelopes. Each game is now free — all you need now is luck! Each year, however, I get crap. Still, it’s fun when you see family jumping for joy as they yell out, “Bin-go!” in an Asian accent. Family is the best.
